Each original acrylic or oil painting on canvas is offered for $115 including shipping and handling within the US (additional shipping charges will apply to overseas shipments). Picture framing is available in our frameshop. If you are in the Boston area and would like to pick up your painting, the cost without shipping is $105, including tax. Just write "pick up" in special instructions at checkout. These paintings, many of which depict the beauty, peace and serenity of the Maine coast, islands and woods make great holiday gifts for those friends and loved ones who still appreciate the priceless value of peaceful contemplation. The proceeds of the sales of Ejay's and Judy's paintings are going to a "Maine Fund" so that we can continue our annual retreat to paint, photograph and be in a place of profound beauty and inspiration. We are also focusing our attention as painters to the new, long awaited era of hope, peace and return to American principles of diplomacy, brotherhood, liberty and pursuit of true happiness - finally free from the nightmare of the past eight years, by creating lovely, peaceful acrylic landscape paintings on canvas.

While the Painting A Day idea is not one that Khan Studio came up with, it is a great idea and one that we have embraced and are really enjoying. Artists, and people in all walks of liife, in general produce best under pressure. Artists enter shows and exhibits, not so much to "win", as for regular motivation to create new work. The Painting a Day concept creates that motivation to create a new acrylic or oil painting each day. It forces an artist to work quickly, and therefore more freely, as you don't have the time to labor over every detail. At the same time, it forces an artist to evolve their skill as a painter - something we all ultimately wish to do. An artist is often never really completely satisfied with any painting, as we always envision something "greater". So is the perpetual challenge of an artist - to achieve perfection, all the while knowing that to do so would be the ultimate end of our passion. How can one be inspired to improve on perfection? For those of you visiting Khan Studio's Painting a Day Gallery, this is a great opportunity to affordably collect the works of three artists who have a great passion for creating and continually perfecting their representational art form. The collection is made up primarily of oil and acrylic landscape painting on canvas that is gallery-wrapped so the painting continues around the edges, so most do not need to be framed. The listed price for these works includes shipping and handling within the US. Shipments outside the US may be subject to additional shipping charges. Customs - If you are purchasing for shipment outside the US, you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, when ordering from Khan Studio, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods. |
