just now
a single leaf let
go and fell from grace
an old man closed his eyes in final sleep
his memories
slipping silently away
embraced by the spirit they soared
just now
a
baby cried out in innocent concern
troubled by dreams of an old man’s
last regrets
endings and beginnings sharing the same space
just now
my
mind wandered
and new horizons found their space in time
I dare not look
ahead too far
nor linger too long in what has been
I fear that now will
tarnish in my absence
just now
a parting kiss from a good friend turned
to love
raindrops to puddles
and an ocean was born
just now
